Mobile Phone People ends Star Makers winning run

Madina Mobile Phone People won 2-4 against us this afternoon at our home grounds to end our winning run since the commencement of the 2020/21 Second Division League.

Star Makers started strong and had managed to create early chances which were stopped shy of the box.

Mobile Phone People quick two goals during the first half of the game gave them an upper hand in today’s derby defeat.

Substitute Abdul Faisal Mohammed who replaced our Injured captain Abdul Hamid Mohammed during the first 15 minutes adopted into the heat of the game and brought us into live during his first 12 mins.

Our center back Kennedy Dablu converted our first goal on the penalty spot which was caused by Abdul Faisal.

The game ended 2-1 during the first half of the game.

Star Makers came back with full energy in the second portion in the game which was again scattered by a dubious penalty awarded to the away team. They converted it perfectly and took their lead to 1-3.

Our inform striker Abdul Basit Sualla dribble past three defenders and rifles a perfect calculated shot in the top right angle which kissed the net. Abdul Basit was then shown a red card on an unsporting behaviour and was off.

MPP put icing on the cake in the dying minutes when they took us on our feet on a counter attack which gave their strikers a simple tap in to increase their tally to (4) four.

“Football is about lose, draw and win, it’s part of the game which makes sports as a whole a beautiful game,” Dawuda Salifu, Technical Director of Star Makers said.

“We’re focused even tho we lost today. Our main target for the season is not based on qualifications but rather planning a way to market our boys after the season which we’re on course.

“We love to fight another day. We’re thinking of our next game and determine to come back to our winning ways.” Salifu concluded.
