Summary of our quadrants lads with Spanish Hernan Cortes after 2020/2021 season

Hernan Cortes sings words of greatness no one can fathom on Star Makers quadrant lads who displayed a magnificent debut season in Spain. 

Lucky Yaw James, Albert Addo, Baba Awal and Awuley Abdul Rahman impart have powered Cortes to Tescera League qualification playoff for the 2021/2022 season. 

21-year-old striker Baba who is a goal poacher played nine out of 18 league matches due to some injury set back along the line. 

Baba have contributed to nine goals during the 2020/21 season for Cortes. He scored five goals with four assists and twice awarded Man Of The Match. 

19-year-old deep-lying playmaker and highly technical and creative midfielder James played all 18 matches during the just ended season for Cortes. 

James scored twice and provided four assists with four time Man Of The Match award. 

Predominant 18-year-old left-footed player Addo, was on a five star performance throughout the 2020/21 league campaign.  

Addo enjoyed all 18 league matches, scored twice, assisted five times and with two adjourned Man Of The Match award. 

18-year-old attacking and creative midfielder Abdul Rahman who can be used as a box-to-box player because of his great vision on the ball scored a goal and played 16 league matches for Cortes. 

The Tescera League qualification playoff games will be played in the coming days after the federation have grouped the clubs into four group with five teams each.

The Insha Allah young lads join a leading train of growing number of youngsters from the West African country to be signed by lower division sides in Spain.

Concerned Grassroots Football Stakeholders Petition The GFA, GARFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports

Our club owner Issah Mohammed Kumai with other concerned grassroots football stakeholders petition the Ministry Of Youth And Sports, Ghana Football Association and the Greater Accra Regional Football Association over delays in commencement of various leagues. 

The commencement of the Divisions Two, Three and Juvenile football league season for 2020/21 is in disguise and even dates back to about four years when the last one league was kicked. 

In a step to have this situation addressed and get this year’s league commenced, some club heads were assigned on a mission for the betterment of our league system. 

Daniel Ntim-Convener, Elliot Aryitey, Mr. H.H. Adika, El-son Asiedu, Issah Mohammed Kumai, Leonard Ahounanchede and Abdulai Issifu led a group of about 40 clubs who prepared and signed a petition to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, GFA and the GARFA respectively. 

Some core points in the petition was how to lift restrictions on grassroots football with the key Covid19 protocols dutifully observed.

With the Astroturf facilities provided by the government, it is time you encourage region and district Fas to put them to use as they provide us with fences that allow for Covid19 protocols to be adhered to.

 At the GFA, the General Secretary after reception took us through some of the steps taken and works that have gone in to bring the sport back. He hinted the launch of the juvenile league at end of April.

The RFA was last to receive their document and the Chairman, Mr Samuel Aboabire said the presentation is timely and reiterated their relentless efforts to getting the various started.

Kofi Asare Brako also took the chance to congratulate the team and promised the minister every passing day until grassroots football attains a better recognition.
