“My target is to score 10-15 goals this ongoing season” – In-form valour attacker Abdul Basit Sualla vows

Our in-form valour striker Abdul Basit Sualla have vowed to reach a range of 10-15 goals in the ongoing 2020-21 Second Division League. 

Abdul Basit impressive run has seen him hog the headlines week in week out due to his goal scoring prowess since Match Day Two to Match Day Five. 

The young attacker have registered six goals with two assists in five League matches in the ongoing season. 

Having been on a scoring spree, the striker netted his first hat-trick of the season against Madina Miracles which ended in a 2-3 away win on Match Day Two. 

On Match Day Three against Shooting Stars, he pulled a low shot into the back of the net on the eighth minutes which ended up in a 2-2 draw game. 

He again scored a beautiful ferocious strike on the 85th minutes from the edge of the box on Match Day Four which saw Madina Republicans goalkeeper ‘ball watching’ as the ball rifled into the right side of the goal. 

Abdul Basit put ice of the cake by scoring our second goal against Madina Phone People which resulted in a 2-4 home defeat.

“I’m enjoying the season so far and my target is to score 10-15 goals to clinch the Golden Boot after the 2020/21 season,” Abdul Basit Sualla vows during an interview with the clubs media officer, Mohammed Hafiz. 

“I have scored five goals and an assist in four matches which motivates me to do more in our subsequent matches. 

“As we start the second round matches this weekends, I will again do my possible best to be on the scoresheet week in and week out.” He concluded. 

Scoring six goals so far place him as the higest goal scorer in the Second Division Zone 6B League so far. 

Star Makers ends the first round league matches with a 2-3 away win against Madina Internationals

Star Makers captain of the day Faisal Aminu Mohammed says the Insha Allah lads had nothing to lose in the race to secure the ultimate trophy after today’s victory at Madina Internationals.

After racing into a 2-3 win with a brilliant thunderbolt goal during the second half which was scored by our midfielder Isaac Antwi.  

The Insha Allah lads held off Madina Internationals, fightback to secure a win that increase our points tally to 14 points out of seven games in the first round matches. 

Striker Issaka Ibrahim dazzle pass two centers backs to place the ball into the net which gave us the first goal lead. The home team then equalized 

from a rebound shot. 

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw game with their defensive midfielder been issued a red card due to unsportmanship conduct on our midfielder Isaac Antwi. 

During the second half of the game Antwi puts us ahead with a brilliant thunderbolt strike which hits the back of the net from a 45 meters stretch on the field. 

Captain of the day Faisal Aminu Mohammed put icing on the cake by tapping in a rebound strike into the back Of the net by our center back Kennedy Dablu who struck from a long distance free kick which the keeper was not able to lay his hands on perfectly. 

Madina Internationals scored their second goal on the penalty spot which was caused by our center back mishandled their striker. 

The match ended in favor of Star Makers as we finish the first round matches with a win.

Our ex-captain Lucky Yaw James renews his contract with Hernan Cortes in Spain

Our former club captain Lucky Yaw James have renewed his contract with CD Hernán Cortes in the Spainish Lower Division League.

20-year-old deep-lying playmaker, highly technical and creative midfielder James played all 18 matches during the just ended 2020/21 season for Cortes.

James scored four goals and provided four assists with four time Man Of The Match award.

Mobile Phone People ends Star Makers winning run

Madina Mobile Phone People won 2-4 against us this afternoon at our home grounds to end our winning run since the commencement of the 2020/21 Second Division League. 

Star Makers started strong and had managed to create early chances which were stopped shy of the box.

Mobile Phone People quick two goals during the first half of the game gave them an upper hand in today’s derby defeat. 

Substitute Abdul Faisal Mohammed who replaced our Injured captain Abdul Hamid Mohammed during the first 15 minutes adopted into the heat of the game and brought us into live during his first 12 mins.  

Our center back Kennedy Dablu converted our first goal on the penalty spot which was caused by Abdul Faisal. 

The game ended 2-1 during the first half of the game. 

Star Makers came back with full energy in the second portion in the game which was again scattered by a dubious penalty awarded to the away team. They converted it perfectly and took their lead to 1-3. 

Our inform striker Abdul Basit Sualla dribble past three defenders and rifles a perfect calculated shot in the top right angle which kissed the net. Abdul Basit was then shown a red card on an unsporting behaviour and was off.

Spanish Club CD Hernan Cortes renews midfielder Awuley Abdul Rahman contract

Spanish Division side CD Hernan Cortes have renewed a year deal with our former midfielder Awuley Abdul Rahman till 2021/22 season. 

The young midfielder joined the Spanish side on a year loan deal during 2020/21 season but his improvements have imparted the club which have given him another year contract till the end of 2021/2022 league season. 

19-year-old attacking and creative midfielder Abdul Rahman who can be used as a box-to-box player because of his great vision on the ball scored a goal and played 16 league matches for Cortes during the 2020/21 season. 

Awuley’s impact helped Cortes to the playoff of  Tescera League qualification which they were knocked out during the final match. 

“Step by step, brick by brick we are assembling the foundation of the 2021/22 template. Season that promises to be exciting.” Cortes tweeted with Awuley’s image after renewing his contract.

Star Makers captain Abdul Hamid Mohammed has shown much gratitude to our loyal fans on and off the field which plays a vital role to the clubs progress during the 2020/21 Second Division League. 

Abdul Hamid have been a vital backbone core since his arrival to Star Makers with a great leadership role. 

His character during the match against Madina Miracles and Madina Republicans gingered our lads to a vital 2-3 and 0-1 away victory respectively. 

“As a captain I have learnt that fans plays a huge vital role in sports which we the players knows there is a great expectation from them to offer,” Abdul Hamid Mohammed told the club Media Officer, Mohammed Hafiz. 

“I want to use this platform to thank our fans and the community as a whole to keep on showing their support and God willing we going to do our best on the field.

Abdul Basit Sualla’s ferocious strike wins the day over Madina Republicans on Match-Day four

In-form striker Abdul Basit Sualla beautiful ferocious strike on the 85th minutes from the edge of the box saw Madina Republicans keeper ‘ball watching’ as the ball rifled into the right side of the goal. 

During the first half of the game both clubs wasted huge opportunities which could fetch a lot of goals in today’s derby game but the tempo of the game was so intense. 

Our shot-stopper Godwin Agbosu pulls off a superb save to keep the ball out of the net on the 80th minutes. 

Agbosu kicked the ball to our pacer winger Masud Jassim Mohammed who took the Republicans right back by storm and latched on to a lofted pass which found striker Abdul Basit who controlled the ball and hit a spectacular shot into the right side of the net. 

“The strategy was to hold them not to penetrate to score in the first half and use our flanks during the second half which materialize for us,” Abdul Hamid Mohammed, captain of Star Makers. 

“We were focused from the start of the game and I’m very happy for our win in today’s game against Republicans. We face Madina International in our next game hopefully.” He concluded.

Classic bicycle kick goal scored by Felix Obour Yaw won Star Makers a point against Shooting Stars

Star Makers’ Felix Obour Yaw scores a beautiful measured ‘bicycle kick’ goal which snatched a point in a 2-2 draw against Shooting Stars at Madina Sports Complex. 

Shooting Stars took an early lead on the fourth minutes which the ball hit the back of the net but the center referee already whistled for a goal which made the linesman stand still at the corner line. 

Our inform striker Abdul Basit Sualla equalized on the eight minutes with an advantage of the situation to rifle a low shot into the back of the net. 

Center back Bawa Micheal caused an infringement in the 18th yard which resulted in a penalty kick on the 31st minutes which the away side wins the battle of wills and sends an unstoppable penalty past Godwin Agbosu into right side of the goal.

With an immediate effect our left back Alvin Acquah picks up the ball and after his individual run, releases a high cross into the 18th yard which Felix Obour Yaw blesses it with a beautiful bicycle kick goal on the 33rd minutes. 

Felix’s goal which was responded in the minutes of two gave us a great comeback into the match day three league game. 

We had an advantage on 84th minutes to go up by a goal and win the game from the penalty spot which Abdul Basit could not convert it well into the goal post. 

The match ended in a 2-2 draw game. 

We play as a guest against Madina Republicans on Saturday in a derby encounter on match day four at CSIR, American House.

In-form striker Abdul Basit Sualla hat-trick sealed a great comeback 2-3 win by scoring against Madina Miracles on match day two in the ongoing 2020/21 Second Division League.

The home team took the lead from a direct free kick which was converted perfectly on the seven’s minutes. 

Abdul Basit power drive shot equalizer from 30 meters stretch on the 14th minutes got pass the home team keeper who was found wanted. 

The first half of the game ended by a goal each which was scored during the early minutes period. 

Few minutes in the second half, winger Jassim Masud made the defenders back-paddling from his pace and assisted Abdul Basit’s second goal on the 53rd minutes. 

Abdul Basit scored his third goal from an error made by the home team defenders through our captains Abdul Hamid Mohammed free kick on the 74th minutes. 

“ We thank Almighty for our second win from two games played. It’s every coach’s dreams and hopes for victories,” Star Makers coach Prince Odei Effisah said. 

“ The referee was a bit bias during the first half and even some portion of the second half but again our tactics worked for us. 

“ I told the players not to focus much on the referee’s decisions. The should play according to our ways and get a win. We look forward for the midweek game against Shooting Stars.” He concluded.

Star Makers cruise into the 2020/21 season with a 4-1 victory against Validus

Star Makers started the league with 4-1 goal triller against Validus at home on match day 1 of the league. 

 Our left winger Masud Jassim brace during the first half of the game geared us towards our victory. 

The visitors pulled one back before the first half ended. 

Attacking midfielder Ibrahim Saad, two wingers Eric Agyapong and Nuhu Adams was introduced into the game during the second half to give us more balance and control of the game. 

Center back Kennedy Dablu 77th free kick which resulted as a goal placed ice on the cake for the Insha Allah boys. 

Substitute Saad long range shoot surprised the away goalkeeper who could not catch it firmly slides through his fingers into the back of the net on the 85th minutes. 

“Alhamdulillah for today’s victory which we’ve been yelling for after the heavy defeat during the MTN FA CUP,” Star Makers captain Abdul Hamid Mohammed said. 

“We’re focused and ready for the subsequent matches which we’re  going fo give out our maximum price.
